About
Built by a teacher
GBG Education makes custom classroom games for K-12 teachers: one game, built around your lesson, with your name and school on the title screen.
Built by a teacher, for the kids in your room.
Who makes these games
Hi from the builder
Hi, I'm Mike. I'm in my 13th year teaching technology and social studies to middle schoolers, in both a New York City charter school and a suburban public district. I hold master's degrees in adolescent education and instructional media. I build every game the way I'd build one for my own students: starting with the learning goal, planning for the kids who need support and the ones who need a challenge, and making sure it actually works on the devices in your room.
How every game is built
The same way a lesson is planned
The learning goal comes first
You tell us your topic, goals, standards, and vocabulary. The decisions in the game are written to those, then the game is built around them.
Support and challenge are planned in
The Differentiated Game has three levels: Support, On Level, and Challenge, with a worksheet for each level in the Lesson Kit.
Tested on real devices
Every game is one self-contained file with no outside connections, so it runs on Chromebooks, iPads, Windows laptops, and Macs. The free compatibility test lets you check yours first.
Nothing collected from students
